Little Carter is finally back home w/ the family after being away at the "doggie spa" for almost 2 weeks. Even though he is still painfully thin, we definitely saw a pep in his step. He lost an eye (even though we had no idea that there was anything wrong w/ it) and passed all tests giving and was given the ok to come back home. The remaining eye was the one we thought was the problem. So strange and confusing b/c we have NO idea what happened to his eye in the last month that made it "ruptured". We were kinda thinking that the vet took a liking to Carter and didn't want to let him go. He said that he took Carter for walks every day and that he is the sweetest dog ever. Maybe he should have kept him to go along w/ the "one eyed" cat that roams the halls of the office. This place doesn't smell very good and the "table side manners" fall a little short, but this vet really has a passion for what he does. Our bill was $250 for 12 days of room and board, all the tests that were ran, and the surgery. He even told us that if we didn't feel "comfortable" paying that that we could pay what ever we could. That's amazing and God truly put this man where he needs to be!!!!
